No seriously. Animals are awesome and if I could I’d have MANY of them.

…don’t judge.

Despite my desires I only have a few pet-things in my life, but they are awesome and should be shared with the world!

Charlie

Charlie is my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His name is so imaginative it blows your mind, I know.

Charlie is a dog who is very much convinced he is not a dog. He loves his comforts (he has his own teddy bear!) and will sleep on just about anyone who sits still for longer than 30 seconds. His fur is curly (unlike other cavs who have straight fur) and therefore tends to look alot like a sheep when it’s long.

He is awesome and loves me and I love him more than the world! Also…Charlie does not like rain and will not go out in it unless he is suitable attired…Yes, he wears a coat!

Oberon

Oberon is a mottled Fantail and was one of my first ever fish, his original tank-mate Titania unfortunately died.

Oberon is, like his namesake, a bully and a ruler. He likes to make sure ALL the other fish in the tank know he is in charge. He chases them about until they submit to his rule. He’s never actually injured any of the fish and his chases never last very long but the message is clear. MY tank, MY rules. He used to be a lot darker than this but has since gained lots of golden scales.

Ophelia

Ophelia is my second Fantail only she is a calico. She was bought not long after Titania died as a new friend for Oberon. He originally tried his bully technique on her but she ignored his pushy ways and he originally gave up and accepted it. She is the Yin to Oberon’s Yang and is welcoming and friendly to new fish. She also likes to greet me of a morning, swimming to the top corner of the tank and blowing fish kisses my way.

Juliet

Juliet is one of three most recent additions to my tank. She is a pure white Oranda, and a young one (notice her lack of wen). She was alone in a tank of golden Oranda and I knew straight away I had to have her. She has very faint black tips to her fins and her tail fin bears a deformity (she has three fins instead of four, the fourth is very tiny) it doesn’t appear to bother her and she gets around fine. She is the reserved member of the aquarium, often keeping to herself but she is very fond of Othello and they often sleep beside one another.

Othello

The second of my three newcomers is Othello the Black Moor (LOL A PUN, I’m so funny). He is the smallest and most shy of the five fish in the tank. He was a particular favourite victim of one bullying Fantail but that has since subsided. He likes to lurk in the plants and under the little stone bridge and is often annoyingly difficult to see. When he is swimming about he is the cutest thing with his telescope ‘bubble’ eyes. He likes to watch me from the tank, just bobbing along at the front, staring.

Puck

Finally, Puck. A better name could not have been chosen for this fun-loving and mischievous Ryukin. Puck was an instant hit in the tank and even stuffy ol’ Oberon succumbed swiftly to his merry ways. He is constantly darting around the tank, dodging and weaving plants (and fish!) and when bored of that loves nothing better than to swim upside down through the bubble wall at the back of the tank. He is also the most patient of the fish, waiting until everyone else has eaten before he does. Puck will also eat directly from my hand and likes to be petted. He’s a pain when I’m trying to remove decorations for cleaning but I love him and his cute fat face. (heismyfavouritefish..)
